AION 2 Essence Extraction Max Level

Quick Answer

The published Global proficiency reference reaches cumulative level 100: Novice 1–50, then Professional 51–100. Complete the Specialty Skill upgrade at Novice 50; check the live client for later changes.

Reviewed 15 October 2026 · Global gathering. The published Global proficiency reference currently runs to cumulative level 100: Novice 1–50, followed by Professional 51–100. Some guides display the Professional grade as a separate 1–50 range. Novice 50 is the promotion gate, not the end of the entire gathering track. This ceiling comes from independently indexed client references; a publisher announcement establishing a later Global cap was not verified in this review.

“100” is the cumulative proficiency reference. It does not mean every gathering specialty has 100 ranks, every material branch can be completed, or your character must reach level 100. When your client uses grade-relative numbering, keep the grade name with the number.

Unlock Professional after Novice 50

The independently indexed Global reward Essence Extraction Upgrade: Professional, item 533310001, explicitly advances capped proficiency into Professional. Its listed source is the faction-specific [Upgrade] Essence Extraction Specialty Skill quest. The reward's presence confirms the promotion's client record; it does not provide a live success probability or prove that a particular account has finished it.

Use this route:

  1. Reach Novice 50 in Essence Extraction, rather than character level 50.
  2. Open the Regional Journal and find the Specialty Skill upgrade quest.
  3. Follow the faction's quest directions: Korius for Elyos or Alzirr for Asmodians in the reviewed references.
  4. Gather the required Splendent Ruby (Bound) while the relevant quest is active.
  5. Return to the quest's artisan and check the actual hand-in requirement.
  6. Claim the promotion reward and follow the client's use or confirmation prompt.
  7. Reopen Essence Extraction and verify that Professional progression is available.

Ordinary Ruby is not the named quest item. If hand-in reports insufficient items, compare the quest objective and bound item name before repeating the route. This review does not establish a fixed Ruby drop chance or a universal fix for a live quest error.

Use the faction-aware Splendent Ruby guide for the next route. Reaching the profession gate is separate from unlocking a character-level activity.

Spend gathering points for the material you need

Common gathering skills and material-specific specialties use different point pools. The Global planner exposes Proficient Handling, Delicate Touch and Lady Luck for the gathering process, plus Seeker, Plentiful Harvest and Appraiser branches for material families. Their costs and prerequisites should be checked in the current menu.

Choose a material that supports an immediate recipe or quest. Unlock its useful navigation step, then compare the later yield or quality nodes against the points available. A high proficiency level does not make a point spent in the wrong material branch useful to your plan.

This page does not equate crafting-profession caps with Essence Extraction proficiency. They are separate systems. It also does not import original AION thresholds such as 399 or 499 into AION 2; those numbers require their own game and version context.

What to do after the documented ceiling

Keep gathering the materials you actually use, review the specialties available to your grade, and compare the relevant recipes or sale options. Hitting a proficiency ceiling does not imply that a resource node has stopped supplying materials.

Before planning another promotion, read the current Global skill menu and official update board. A Korea or Taiwan expansion can describe a real later system while still being the wrong requirement for Global. An interface translated into English does not resolve that region difference.
