AION 2 Abyss: Entry and Activities

Quick Answer

Check the selected Abyss layer’s entry requirements and remaining time. Field access and Corridor access differ. The October event sells a one-hour Lower Abyss stone for 50,000 Kina, with a seven-per-character weekly limit.

The Abyss is AION 2's shared faction-war region, where Elyos and Asmodians meet for contested objectives, monster hunting and Abyss Point progression. Start with the Lower Abyss entry panel, check its level and equipment conditions, and check your remaining usage time before travelling. A normal field entrance and an Artifact-linked Abyss Corridor are separate permissions.

For the October 2026 Global release, keep regional layer guides separate from your current menu. A Korean or Taiwanese map showing Middle or Upper Reshanta does not establish that the same layer, equipment requirement or schedule is available to your Global character.

Enter the Abyss and check the right requirement

  1. Open the Abyss menu and select the area you want to enter.
  2. Read every condition shown for that area: character level, equipment requirement and remaining usage time.
  3. If the panel offers an Enter button, use it after the conditions are met. Otherwise, follow the available entrance or active quest navigation in your client.
  4. Arrive at your faction's base and identify the return route before leaving for a field objective.

Level 45 is the relevant Global progression point for the current Lower Abyss event purchases. Independent Abyss references commonly list level 45 and Item Level 1,000 for Lower Reshanta, but the selected Global entry panel remains the check to use before upgrading equipment. Do not apply a Middle-layer number to a Lower-layer entrance or confuse Combat Power with an Item Level requirement.

The selected layer has its own entry conditions and timer. Check the current client before travelling.

The homeland portal names shown in regional references are Garden of the Illusion God in Verteron for Elyos and Black Claw Village in Altgard for Asmodians. Treat them as navigation references: use your current Abyss entry menu and quest markers if the map, localisation or story state differs.

A Koro objective is part of faction story progression in indexed quest references; speaking to that NPC is not proof that every Abyss activity has opened. Follow the quest tracker for the current objective, then inspect the desired activity separately.

Read the region as a set of activities

Use the faction base as your preparation point, then choose one purpose for the visit. The important distinction is between being admitted to the shared field and having access to a particular scheduled activity.

ActivityWhat you doWhat determines the visit
Shared Abyss fieldHunt eligible monsters, complete objectives and travel through contested territory.Field admission and available usage time.
Duty and supply objectivesComplete the listed task or deliver its requested materials. The objective's conditions, deadline and displayed reward.
Artifact SiegeParticipate with your faction in a scheduled control objective. The current regional schedule and battle state.
Abyss CorridorEnter the separate activity available through the current faction or Artifact state. Its own eligibility and entry timer.
Field bossJoin the announced encounter and pursue its listed rewards. The live announcement, encounter state and contribution rules.

Enemy-faction pressure can interrupt travel or a monster objective. The separate PvP toggle and forced-status guide covers combat-state questions; a homeland PvE setting should not be treated as protection inside the Abyss.

Follow Artifact and Corridor windows

An Artifact Siege is a faction objective. The useful sequence is to check the calendar, join the intended group, follow the objective, and inspect ownership and Corridor access afterward. Chasing an unrelated enemy can take you away from the reason the group entered.

A Corridor is not simply another name for the open field. Its entrance can depend on faction state and a limited window. Before a siege ends, finish equipment changes and make inventory space so that you can use an available entrance promptly.

Do not import a Korean evening timetable into a Global region. Likewise, independent sources disagree on Corridor duration and weekly field allowances. Use the timer displayed for your current activity rather than planning around a copied three-minute or five-minute claim.

Manage usage time before buying more

The official October 13/14 Global patch notes announced a seven-hour cap on accumulated Abyss entry time. That cap is not the weekly grant or an automatic refill rate; check the remaining time shown by your client.

Read the remaining Lower Abyss time in the activity panel. Extra time has value only when you intend to use it: check the item name, the layer it recharges, its expiry and the purchase limit before buying a stack.

Conquerors of the Abyss in October 2026

The official Conquerors of the Abyss notice confirms this temporary Global offer:

Price50,000 Kina each
EligibilityCharacter level 45 or higher
Purchase limitSeven per character per week
EffectAdds one hour of Lower Abyss usage time
ExpiryAutomatically deleted seven days after acquisition
TradingNon-tradable

The announced sales period runs from the October 13 maintenance to before the October 27 maintenance in PDT, or October 14 to before October 28 in the European CEST/CET dates. Those are maintenance boundaries, not a guarantee of an exact clock time. The offer is temporary; its price and weekly limit are not permanent Abyss rules.

Buying the weekly maximum costs 350,000 Kina and buys up to seven one-hour recharges. Use them with room below the seven-hour accumulated-time cap and before the items expire. Buy for a realistic play session rather than accumulating items that can disappear. This calculation describes the offer, not an estimate of how much AP you will earn.

Halloween also offers a differently named Lower Abyss Rift Stone through its own event shop. Check the currency and limit on the actual item; do not merge that exchange with the Kina offer.

Keep currency, ranking and rewards separate

Abyss Points are associated with Abyss purchases and progression, while rank-related displays and other currencies can follow different rules. Before completing an objective or spending points, compare the reward icon and the shop's required currency. A large leaderboard number is not automatically the amount available to spend.

For this region overview, the practical objective is to identify an available activity and its reward. Fixed AP-per-hour promises, exact death penalties and a universal shopping order need their own current Global checks; they are not a reason to enter an unsuitable fight or buy time without a plan.
