AION 2 Precision, Accuracy and Crit

Quick Answer

Precision is a primary attribute associated with Accuracy and Critical Hit. It is not flat Accuracy, a crit percentage or Combat Power; compare the current tooltip, active build and target before investing.

Reviewed 15 October 2026 · Global stat terminology. Precision is a primary attribute associated with Accuracy and Critical Hit in independently indexed client-stat references. It is not the same field as flat Accuracy, Critical Hit rating, a measured critical-hit percentage or Combat Power. We have not verified a publisher-issued Global hit formula or a universal Precision target.

Precision, Accuracy and Critical Hit are different fields

FieldWhat to inspectWhy the distinction matters
PrecisionThe primary-attribute value and its current tooltipA primary attribute feeds related stats; it is not itself a displayed hit percentage
AccuracyThe resulting Accuracy value and target contextHit behavior depends on the relevant target, not only your attribute wheel
Critical HitThe resulting rating and observed critical resultsA change in points does not automatically equal the same change in percentage chance
Combat PowerThe character's overall progression ratingA larger summary number does not prove that a specific Accuracy or crit bottleneck was solved
Item LevelEquipment progression and actual entry requirementRaising an attribute does not automatically satisfy an equipment gate

The source descriptions identify Precision as supporting Accuracy and Critical Hit increases. They do not justify saying “one Precision equals one percentage point of crit.” Exact conversions, stacking and final chance should be read from the current Global tooltip and checked against the character sheet.

Check permanent progress and your active loadout separately

A character can have useful permanent progression while wearing a different equipment preset. Before comparing two stat screens, keep the class, active gear, buffs and activity fixed. Record Precision, Accuracy and Critical Hit separately so you can see which field changed.

The build reference database lists the stat priorities attached to our skills and equipment recommendations. Some builds need a trigger or effective skill-rank breakpoint before another damage-oriented stat investment is useful. A Precision-related gear line should therefore be compared with the job of the complete configuration, not picked because its name sounds desirable.

Daevanion and other progression effects should also be read by their actual labels. A node that lists Accuracy or a skill-rank bonus is not automatically a Precision node. Record the named effect, inspect what changes on the character sheet, and keep the Daevanion plan separate from an assumed final hit-chance formula.

Test a suspected Accuracy or crit bottleneck

  1. Record your active profile, Precision, Accuracy and Critical Hit.
  2. Read the exact skill condition. A critical-hit trigger and a crowd-control trigger require different tests.
  3. Choose a repeatable target and keep its difficulty and your buffs fixed.
  4. Compare several combat records before and after one gear or progression change.
  5. Check both successful hits and the skill sequence; a missed trigger can also come from the wrong specialty or resource state.
  6. Keep the change only if it helps the intended activity or clears its actual requirement.

For a skill that triggers on a critical hit, a short lucky record can make the sequence look more reliable than it is. Repeat the comparison rather than treating one high-DPS pull as proof of a stat threshold. Our profiles describe the relevant conditional rotations and do not supply a measured universal Precision optimum.

Read PvP separately from a PvE benchmark

An opponent's defensive properties and the current mode's rules can change the result. Do not copy a monster-target stat recommendation into PvP and assume that it predicts the same success rate. Check player-specific skill effects and the actual mode before deciding whether Accuracy, Critical Hit or a defensive option solves the problem.

The official 14 October Global update changes standardized Battlefield stats. Keep the mode and patch with a PvP comparison; a pre-patch combat record may describe a different stat environment.

The available sources do not establish a universal Global PvP Precision cap, an opponent-independent miss formula or a guaranteed conversion from Precision to winning chance. Use the PvP preparation guide and the matching PvP profile for target control, survivability and role decisions.

Sources and limits

  • AION2 Hub stat calculator — Independent datamined attribute reference, checked 15 October 2026. It identifies Precision's related stats and separates conversion components from the final character sheet; its numerical rates are not independently validated here.
  • gaming.tools Global class database — Independent client reference, displayed version 2.0.6.0, updated 8 October 2026. Class and skill conditions are distinct from an observed hit formula.
  • Official Global updates — Publisher source for published changes; this review did not establish an official Global Precision formula.
