AION 2 Halloween: Coins and Rewards

Quick Answer

Global Trick or Treat ends before Nov 3 PST / Nov 4 CET maintenance. Claim Attendance, complete Event missions and save 250 Pumpkin Coins for the level-10 skeleton chest.

AION 2 Global's Trick or Treat Halloween event is scheduled to run from after maintenance on October 13 (PDT) / October 14 (CEST) until before maintenance on November 3 (PST) / November 4 (CET). This guide was checked on October 20, 2026. Start by claiming Attendance → Trick or Treat, then check Season Mission → Event. If you want the skeleton appearance, reserve 250 Halloween Pumpkin Coins for the level-10 Special Halloween Chest.

These are the regional dates printed in the official Global event notice. The different daylight-saving labels matter: the event begins under PDT/CEST and ends under PST/CET. The notice does not give a precise maintenance start time for the closing day, so finish exchanges before your region's maintenance.

Get Pumpkin Coins without duplicating work

Attendance and Event missions supply the coins. Candy Key Fragments are a separate dungeon reward and cannot replace Pumpkin Coins at the merchant.

  1. Open Attendance → Trick or Treat and claim the available reward.
  2. Open Season Mission → Event and inspect the objectives and remaining reset time.
  3. Match those objectives to content you can already enter and clear. The Expedition mission specifically requires Conquest; the Nightmare mission accepts any stage.
  4. Visit your faction's Coin Merchant with enough coins and the required character level.

Attendance pays 35 coins on days 1–6 and 8–13, and 100 coins on days 7 and 14. All 14 claims total 620 coins. Rewards are claimable once per server. The published daily reset is 12:00 AM PDT / 9:00 AM CEST; use the in-game countdown when planning around the later daylight-saving change.

If you save every attendance reward, the first six give 210 coins and reward seven brings the balance to 310. That covers the 250-coin chest. A late start does not justify budgeting for rewards you cannot still claim: add your existing balance to the reachable attendance and mission rewards before spending.

Weekly missions and exact payouts

Each mission resets once per week per server. Completing it on another character on the same server does not create a second weekly payout.

Event missionRequired actionPumpkin Coins
AbyssHunt 10 monsters in the Abyss25
TranscendenceClear one Transcendence Dungeon25
ExpeditionClear Expedition Conquest once25

NightmareClear once, at any stage25

Use a ScrollUse five Scrolls20
Dimensional InvasionParticipate once20
Shugo FestivalParticipate once20

A complete set totals 235 coins. From a zero balance, that set plus one ordinary 35-coin attendance reward gives 270, enough for the chest with 20 left. That is an attainable budget only if you have access to all ten activities and can finish before the relevant reset and event deadline.

Expedition and Transcendence can serve two goals: mission progress and Candy Key Fragments. Do not spend energy purely to finish a checklist without checking the dungeon's reward and your remaining claims.

Find the Coin Merchant and secure the skeleton skin

At level 10 or above, exchange 250 Halloween Pumpkin Coins for the Special Halloween Chest, limited to one per server. Opening it grants both the bound Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. It is not a choice between those rewards, and the listed appearance is a breastplate skin rather than a separately listed multi-piece armor set.

If the skeleton appearance is your goal, keep those 250 coins reserved until the chest is purchased. If you already bought it, direct the remaining currency toward resources you will use before their expiration dates. Event rewards are non-tradable.

Choose the rest of the event shop by your needs

Each price below buys one of the named items. The event Coin Merchant's Odyle Energy limit is separate from the Wind Breeze Merchants shop changes in the same patch.

RewardCoin costPurchase limitMinimum level
Special Halloween Chest250Once per server10
Odyle Energy (Bound)104 per server per week45

Life Crystal (Bound)220 per character10
Halloween Candy (Bound)210 per character10
Halloween Cookie (Bound)210 per character10
Superior Power Shard (Bound)1No listed limit10

For a level-45 character short on dungeon reward resources, four Odyle Energy cost 40 coins per week. If Abyss access is your priority, the two event-shop stones cost 60 coins. Buy tickets and keys for activities you actually run; an unused ticket that expires offers no benefit over keeping coins for a reward you need.

Below level 45, the level-10 cosmetic and consumable options remain available. The Life Crystal, Candy and Cookie limits above are per character; the notice does not list them as weekly allowances. Treating every row as weekly would overstate what you can buy.

Halloween Candy provides Attack +25, Defense +250, Max Stamina +300 and Natural Stamina Regen +40% for five minutes. Halloween Cookie instead provides Max HP +500, Max MP +250, Max Stamina +300 and Natural Stamina Regen +40% for five minutes. The notice does not establish that these buffs stack with every other food effect.

Craft Candy Keys with dungeon fragments

Candy Key Fragments (Event) come from completing Expedition and Transcendence Dungeons. In Substance Morph → Event, each colored key costs 60 fragments, succeeds at 100%, and has its own limit of one per week per server. All three colors therefore require 180 fragments in a weekly cycle.

Use a key to open an event candy of the matching color in town. These large event candies are separate from the five-minute Halloween Candy food reward.

CandyMain rewardsAdditional rewards in every color
Red20 Growth Pet Chests and 10 Battle Enhance Scrolls5 Halloween Candies and 5 Halloween Cookies
Yellow10,000 Abyss Points and 10 Life Crystals5 Halloween Candies and 5 Halloween Cookies
Blue4 Odyle Energy and 10 Resurrection Spiritstones5 Halloween Candies and 5 Halloween Cookies

Choose the color that addresses your present shortage: Red for the listed pet materials, Yellow for Abyss Points, or Blue for energy and revival supplies. Opening a candy grants all the items in its bundle. There is no need to declare one color best for every player.

A separate recipe turns one fragment into ten Superior Power Shards, also at 100% success with no listed morphing limit. Reserve fragments for any key you still want before converting leftovers. The official notice does not specify a universal fragment count per dungeon run, so do not assume a fixed number of runs will finish a key.

Spend and open items before their removal dates

The event's exchange deadline and individual item-removal dates serve different purposes. A later removal date does not extend the Coin Merchant event.

ItemsPublished removal time
Halloween Candy, Halloween Cookie, Candy Key Fragments and all three colored Candy KeysNovember 3, 2026, 11:00 PM PST / November 4, 8:00 AM CET
Special Halloween Chest, event Odyle Energy, Resurrection Spiritstones, Daily Dungeon tickets, Nightmare tickets and Shugo Festival Reward KeysDecember 15, 2026, 11:00 PM PST / December 16, 8:00 AM CET

Make coin exchanges before the November 3/4 closing maintenance, open your colored candies before their keys disappear, and open the Special Halloween Chest before its December deadline. The official event notice contains the item-specific removal tables and can be updated by NC.

Keep paid Halloween cosmetics separate

The free skeleton chest uses Pumpkin Coins. Monarch of Blood, Midnight Witch and Midnight Slasher are separate Atelier outfit purchases, listed at $29.99 each in the Purple Store. Halloween Night weapon skins are listed at $11.99, while Pumpkin Carriage, Little Ghost and Spider Wings are listed at $19.99 each. Other storefront policies may change the displayed price.

Monarch of Blood outfit previews with black-and-red clothing, a cape and bat wings

Monarch of Blood is a paid Atelier outfit set, separate from the Pumpkin Coin skeleton reward.

The official cosmetics notice lists a longer sales window, ending before maintenance on November 24 PST / November 25 CET. Outfit sets and weapon skins are delivered through Shop Storage and used on the purchasing server; do not assume the outfits are account-wide across all servers. Weapon skins must match your class. The event chest is the route to the free skeleton appearance, not a currency discount on these paid sets.

The concurrent Conquerors of the Abyss promotion ends earlier than Halloween, before October 27 PDT / October 28 CET maintenance. Its Kina purchases belong to the Abyss activity rather than the Pumpkin Coin budget.
