AION 2 Founders Pack

Quick Answer

Compare the original Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Founder editions by their listed rewards. The five-day head start has ended; verify current availability and claim rules.

The AION 2 Founders Pack was a limited Global launch offer with three tiers: Standard for $24.99, Deluxe for $49.99, and Ultimate for $99.99. Every tier included five-day Advance Access, a starter supply chest, a founder title, and a 30-day Special Quai Membership. Deluxe added two skins, while Ultimate added another outfit, a styling chest, the Black Dragon pet, and Blazing Sun Wings.

The important limitation is timing. Advance Access ran from September 30 through October 4, 2026, before the Global service launched on October 5. NC stated that the packs would remain available through Sunday, October 4. As of October 9, the listed prices and purchase recommendations are historical; they do not prove that any tier can still be purchased, upgraded, transferred, or replaced.

Current status after Global launch

A Founder's Pack is no longer required to enter AION 2. The Global version is a free-to-play Windows PC game available through Steam and PURPLE, and both platforms share the same servers and game content. The optional membership, Battle Pass, cosmetics, and economy-related permissions are separate parts of the current business model.

The five-day head start has ended, so its value cannot be recovered by buying a pack after launch. Players who entered during Advance Access kept their progress when the game moved into full service, but that transition is now complete. Old pages that still tell readers to buy a pack for September 30 access are describing the prelaunch period.

The historical pack details remain useful for two groups: players checking what an existing purchase was supposed to include, and players comparing the launch editions after the fact. They should not be read as evidence of a current sale.

Historical pack prices and contents

The launch lineup used the following USD prices and reward structure:

TierHistorical USD priceCommon rewardsTier-specific additions
Standard$24.99Five-day Advance Access, Daeva's Campaign Supply Chest, Vanguard of Atreia title, 30-day Special Quai MembershipNone
Deluxe$49.99Everything in StandardAscended Daeva armor skin set and Eternal Sun weapon skin
Ultimate$99.99Everything in DeluxeDaeva's Styling Chest, Moonlit Aria armor skin set, Black Dragon pet, and Blazing Sun Wings

The higher price did not extend Advance Access or the membership period. A Standard owner and an Ultimate owner received the same five-day entry window and the same 30-day membership duration. The additional spending on Deluxe or Ultimate bought the listed appearance and companion rewards.

Several product names included a “Bound” label. That label is important when reviewing an old purchase because it does not support assumptions that the reward can be traded, gifted, moved to another account, or resold. The exact post-launch entitlement and recovery process is not established here, so missing rewards should be checked against the account that made the original purchase rather than treated as freely transferable items.

Rewards shared by every tier

All three tiers included four common parts:

  • Five-day Advance Access: entry to the complete Global game beginning September 30, with retained progress. This benefit ended when the October 5 launch opened the service to everyone.
  • Daeva's Campaign Supply Chest: a bound starter chest intended for early progression. The pack comparison does not make its contents a permanent advantage, and this page does not substitute unverified item quantities for the original entitlement.
  • Vanguard of Atreia title: a founder-related title included with the launch bundle.
  • Special Quai Membership for 30 days: a fixed-duration membership grant. Paying for Deluxe or Ultimate did not lengthen it.

The common rewards are the key to understanding the original tiers. Standard contained every time-sensitive and membership-related component. Deluxe and Ultimate built upward from that same base instead of offering earlier access, a longer subscription, or a different version of the game.

Standard pack reward scope

Standard was the functional entry tier. Its $24.99 launch price covered the shared rewards without adding the cosmetic sets found in the two higher editions. During the prelaunch period, it was the direct choice for someone who wanted Advance Access and the included month of membership but did not want to pay for edition-specific outfits.

After October 5, the Advance Access portion has no remaining use. An existing Standard purchase may still matter for its title, chest entitlement, and membership history, but the original 30-day grant should not be mistaken for permanent membership. Nothing in the pack description turns AION 2 into a lifetime subscription product.

Standard also did not represent the price of the base game. Global AION 2 is free to play, so this was a launch bundle rather than a required game license. Current access costs and ongoing membership permissions belong to the game's present free-to-play model, not to the expired head-start offer.

Deluxe pack reward scope

Deluxe cost $49.99 and contained everything in Standard. Its two additions were the Ascended Daeva armor skin set and the Eternal Sun weapon skin. These were appearance rewards rather than a second membership period or a larger Advance Access window.

The practical historical decision was therefore narrow: the extra cost over Standard was for those two looks. Deluxe did not include the Ultimate-only Moonlit Aria set, styling chest, Black Dragon pet, or Blazing Sun Wings.

When checking an existing entitlement, distinguish the armor skin from the weapon skin. Receiving one visual item does not demonstrate that the other was claimed, and the available details do not establish an exact post-launch recovery menu. Keep the original edition name and purchase receipt available if an account appears to be missing one of the two Deluxe additions.

Ultimate pack reward scope

Ultimate cost $99.99 and included the full Deluxe bundle, then added four rewards: the Daeva's Styling Chest, Moonlit Aria armor skin set, Black Dragon pet, and Blazing Sun Wings. It was the collector tier, but it did not provide a longer membership or an earlier start than Standard.

The Ultimate tier adds the Black Dragon pet, Moonlit Aria armor, and Blazing Sun Wings.

The Black Dragon should be identified according to the pack listing: it was a pet. AION 2's broader pet system includes companions that can transform into rideable mounts and provide functions such as auto-looting, but those general system descriptions do not prove that every pet has identical transformation, movement, flight, or stat behavior. In particular, a dragon appearance is not evidence of independent aerial flight or a unique combat advantage.

The wings were the Blazing Sun Wings appearance, while Moonlit Aria was an additional armor skin set. They are separate rewards and should not be collapsed into one outfit. The styling chest was another distinct item, not a third membership grant or a premium-currency allowance.

Ultimate made sense only as a purchase of the complete visual bundle. Its functional launch benefits were already present in Standard. Community opinions about the Black Dragon or the relative quality of later cosmetics cannot establish future exclusivity, resale value, or whether a visually similar item will return.

Membership value and limitations

Every Founder's Pack included a 30-day Special Quai Membership. That was the most substantial shared benefit after Advance Access because Global AION 2 uses an optional membership tied to parts of its player-driven economy and currency exchange. The Launch FAQ describes the game as free to play with an optional monthly membership, while the broader monetization model also includes cosmetics and a Battle Pass.

The membership grant was limited to 30 days. It was not multiplied by tier, and the pack did not include six months or a year of service. Historical comparisons that evaluate Standard partly against the price of a normal membership must still keep the products separate: the pack contained one fixed grant, while continued membership is an ongoing decision under the current service rules.

The founder membership also should not be summarized as “the game is paid” or “everything is free after the pack.” Ordinary access is free, but membership relates to market participation and currency exchange permissions. The exact current permission list should be checked under the live membership offering because this page owns the historical founder editions, not every continuing free-to-play restriction.

The supply chest should be evaluated separately from membership. It was a bound starter bundle, not additional subscription time, premium currency, high-tier gear, or proof of permanent power. Exact quantities that are not preserved in the launch comparison should remain unspecified.

Purchase, account, and claim boundaries

The launch-window rule allowed one Founder's Pack tier per account, so editions were alternatives rather than stackable bundles. Prelaunch information also did not provide a reliable later upgrade path from Standard to Deluxe or Ultimate. Players were expected to choose the desired tier during the offer window.

That historical restriction has several practical consequences:

  1. Identify the account that completed the purchase before comparing rewards. A receipt for one account does not establish an entitlement on a different account.
  2. Match the receipt to Standard, Deluxe, or Ultimate. The higher tiers inherited the lower-tier contents, but Standard did not include the Deluxe or Ultimate cosmetics.
  3. Treat bound rewards as account-limited unless an official support decision says otherwise. Do not assume they can be traded or moved between unrelated accounts.
  4. Separate platform access from pack entitlement. Steam and PURPLE share Global servers and content, but that fact alone does not prove that an unlinked account inherits a purchase made through the other storefront.
  5. Preserve the purchase date and edition name when reporting a missing reward. The exact current claim interface, replacement policy, and menu labels are not confirmed here.

Steam and PURPLE users can access the same character and progress across the two platforms when the relevant accounts are linked, according to the Global launch guidance. That account-linking capability should not be stretched into a promise that every purchase, bound item, or old entitlement is automatically recoverable in every account configuration.

Regional boundaries matter as well. Korean and Taiwanese services launched earlier and have separate progression. Their purchases, mobile availability, later classes, and service rules do not define the Global Founder's Pack. The Global pack discussed here was for the Windows PC service on Steam and PURPLE.

Reading the original value after the deadline

For the original September decision, the tier logic was straightforward:

  • Standard contained every shared functional benefit: the head start, starter chest, title, and 30-day membership.
  • Deluxe charged more for the Ascended Daeva and Eternal Sun appearances.
  • Ultimate charged more for the complete cosmetic and companion collection.
  • Waiting until October 5 allowed entry without buying a pack because the base game launched as free to play.

That structure does not produce one universal “best” tier. Standard minimized the launch-window spend while retaining the shared benefits. Deluxe depended on whether its two skins were worth the historical price to the buyer. Ultimate depended on whether the additional outfit, styling chest, pet, and wings justified the $99.99 total. Those were preference decisions, not evidence that the higher editions offered more access time or a stronger membership.

After the deadline, the useful task is no longer choosing a head-start tier. It is verifying an existing edition or deciding how to spend under the live service. Do not use the expired $24.99, $49.99, or $99.99 figures as current prices for membership, cosmetics, or any replacement bundle.

Stale claims to avoid

Several statements from prelaunch coverage became outdated on October 5. Advance Access is not currently running, September 30 is not an upcoming start date, and the pack window announced through October 4 is not proof of present availability. A capture made after launch also does not turn an old sales page into a current offer.

Claims about permanent exclusivity require similar care. A founder label identifies the launch bundle, but the available details do not establish whether NC will ever sell, recolor, or otherwise revisit a related appearance. Avoid assigning resale value or promising that a cosmetic can never return.

Finally, keep the Founder's Pack separate from broader monetization judgments. The pack comparison can establish which edition contained which historical reward. It cannot by itself settle every question about current market permissions, currency exchange, Battle Pass value, or competitive spending. Those systems continue after the launch bundle and need their own current rules.
